About
Designers lose control of their files. Makers fight on price instead of quality. Customers deal with inconsistency and uncertainty.
Crowd Factory is preparing the full chain, from design to doorstep, and protects the value of every role before launch.
Behind the scenes, data piracy has quietly become one of the biggest threats to designers. STL files leak, designs get resold without permission, and creators lose the ability to control or monetize their own work. We built Crowd Factory to end that.
When a designer uploads a file, they license it directly to us. We protect that file inside a secure system that prevents any maker from exporting, saving, or copying it. This is handled through Maker Desk, the software makers download to prepare launch production.
Maker Desk only supplies one STL at a time, keeps it within the printing environment, and sends us a flag if anyone attempts to export or capture the file. Any user attempting to break the rules is removed from the platform. By controlling access at the source, designers retain ownership of their IP and the entire network stays clean.
Scattered storefronts, duplicated designs, race to the bottom pricing, and no unified brand. Value slips away and nobody is aligned.
Designers sell across marketplaces or through their own channels. Makers do the same. Every separate path creates versions of products, gaps in quality, and a messy customer experience.
One storefront prepared for launch. Local makers reviewed for fulfillment. The payout model is being prepared, but we are still waiting for more makers and designers to join before the official launch. No subscriptions and no friction.
To ensure consistent results, we only onboard makers who use high calibre and modern printers. Better machines reduce failed prints and guarantee that customers always receive a product that matches the designer's intent. We approve printers on a rolling basis, so if your machine is not listed yet, check back later as new models are added regularly.
After testing every 3D printing business model, one issue appeared again and again. Designers, makers, and customers were scattered across tools that were never built to work together. Files leaked, quality dropped, and no one won. Crowd Factory is preparing the entire chain to prove that fair economics and strong protection can scale.
Designers and makers, help shape the marketplace we always wanted.
Commission-based model. Vetted onboarding. Quality standards. No maker subscriptions.
